Game Selection and Variants

In Ontario we run 32 blackjack variants, split between digital RNG tables and live dealer games with real croupiers streaming from studios. The digital lineup covers titles like Blackjack Xchange, 777 Blazin’ Blackjack, Match the Dealer, plus our own Football Blackjack. Each of these adds its own side bets and payout patterns.

Live dealer blackjack is open from 10 AM EST to 2 AM EST. Minimum bets may vary by table, while the highest limits go up to $5,000. Tables stay open during their listed operating hours. Alongside network tables from third-party providers we keep several DraftKings-branded setups reserved just for our players.

Most blackjack variants here use the dealer-stands-on-soft-17 rule where specified by the table. That keeps the house edge lower than hit-on-soft-17 tables. Specific rules sit in the information panel of every game, so you can check them before placing chips.

How to Start Playing

Players in Ontario who are 19 or older can register through our website or mobile app. Head to casino.draftkings.com/on-ca-online-casino and choose to create an account. We will ask for your full name, date of birth, and Ontario address. After that you confirm your email, complete identity verification, set up security preferences, and then make your first deposit.

Once your account is active, open the main casino lobby and move to the blackjack area. The category filter lists all 32 variants with small tiles that show table limits and key features.

For live dealer blackjack it usually goes like this:

1. Open the live casino from the main menu
2. Filter the lobby by blackjack tables
3. Check the tiles showing dealer name, open seats and bet limits
4. Click the table you like
5. Let the current round finish
6. Put your chips down during the betting window
7. Confirm your wager before the timer runs out

Bets resolve in real time and winnings hit your balance as soon as the hand ends. You can jump between tables using the in-game selector without backing out to the main lobby.

Betting Limits

We structure table limits so that different bankroll sizes fit in. Digital RNG blackjack usually starts at $1 per hand, while live dealer tables may have lower minimum bets depending on the table.

You can adjust your stake with the chip selector before each hand. On live tables the betting window stays open for roughly 10 seconds and a countdown appears on screen. Digital games do not force a timer so you can take longer.

Maximum limits are set per betting spot, not per person. If you decide to occupy multiple spots, each position must still stay inside its own posted max. Side bets have their own limits, which sit clearly in the in-game rules.

Live Dealer Features

Our live blackjack tables stream from dedicated studios in HD quality. Several camera angles track the cards, chip movement, and dealer actions. The video appears in the main window with betting buttons and decision controls layered over it.

A live chat panel lets you talk with dealers and, when appropriate, with other players. Dealers call out actions and usually reply between hands. If you prefer a quieter setup, you can disable or mute this in the settings.

Exclusive DraftKings tables come with our branding and specific dealer uniforms. These run on a separate set of tables compared to shared network games, so seat availability may change during busy hours.

You can open the game history panel to see the last 20 hands. It lists which hands won, when the dealer busted, and recent blackjacks. The history is only informational; each hand still plays out independently.

When all seats are taken, behind-the-bet lets you place wagers on a seat already occupied. Your bet automatically follows the seated player’s decisions for hits, stands, doubles or splits, and your payouts follow the outcome on that spot.

Mobile Access

Our iOS and Android apps carry the full blackjack suite, both RNG and live. You can also use a mobile browser if you prefer, the site adjusts itself for smaller screens.

Touch controls handle chip selection, bet placement, and hit or stand choices. The layout reflows to match your screen size and both portrait and landscape orientations remain stable.

Live dealer blackjack on mobile uses adaptive streaming. We check your connection quality and may lower video resolution a bit if needed so the stream keeps running without buffering. Audio uses a separate control, so you can mute the video picture and still keep sound on, or the other way around.

Throughout a session you can still manage your account. It is possible to deposit, see your balance, or change settings without closing the current game. If you switch apps or get a call, the app stores your game state and resumes when you return.

Blackjack Variants and Rules

Across the 32 variants you will see small but important rule changes that affect house edge and strategy. These include the number of decks in use, whether certain doubles are allowed, split conditions, surrender options, and blackjack payout ratios.

Match the Dealer adds a side bet that pays when either or both of your first two cards match the dealer’s up card in rank or in suit. 777 Blazin’ Blackjack connects to a progressive prize, which is triggered by specific three-card combinations that total 21.

Blackjack Xchange introduces a card-swapping feature. You play two hands at once and can pay a fee to exchange cards between them. Because of that swap option, the payout structure is altered compared with standard blackjack.

Every single variant has a dedicated rules panel inside the game. We always recommend opening that section before you commit chips, since basic strategy can shift a bit from table to table.

Payment and Withdrawals

We support several deposit methods that allow you to fund your account in CAD. For regular deposits and withdrawals we do not charge extra fees on our side.

Once you confirm a deposit, funds usually appear in your account balance right away. That means you can move to blackjack tables within seconds. Each method has its own minimum, but in most cases it starts at $10.

When you withdraw, we send your funds through the same payment channels you used for deposits whenever that is possible. Before we approve your first payout, we have to complete identity verification. Processing can be almost instant or take a few business days depending on the method and checks.

Blackjack winnings credit automatically as each hand settles. You can keep playing with credited funds or submit a withdrawal request after processing is completed.

Account Requirements
